Arnulfo DeLeon

VAN WERT, Ohio - Arnulfo "Arnold" DeLeon, 70, of Van Wert, went to be with his Lord and Savior at 11:56 p.m. Saturday, June 30, 2012, at Lima Memorial Hospital, Lima, Ohio.
He was born Aug. 10, 1941, in Los Ramones, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, to the late Manuela (Garza) DeLeon and Abundio DeLeon. His wife, Maria (Alvarez) DeLeon, survives of Van Wert. They were married July 31, 1960.
Other survivors include: his children: Aida (Richard) Shoemaker of Huntington, Ind., Alicia (Jim) Voors and Alma (Mark) Ladd, both of Van Wert, and Arnold "Ernie" DeLeon of Convoy, Ohio; a brother: Abundio DeLeon of Harlingen, Texas; sisters: Adelina Alvarez of Van Wert and Amparo Rodriguez of Los Ramones, Nuevo Leon, Mexico; grandchildren: Ryan (Jennifer) Kreischer, Marissa Kreischer, Zachary Bradshaw, Eason Ladd, Ashleigh DeLeon, Emilio DeLeon, Austin Voors, and a great-grandchild: Evelyn Kreischer.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Abel DeLeon.
He retired from Federal Mogul after 35 years of service. He attended Calvary Evangelical Church, Van Wert. He loved to spend time with his family, camp, fish and tinker with cars.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 6 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert. The Rev. Abel DeLeon will officiate. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 5 at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is American Heart Association.
