Barbara K. Bashore, 85, of Pickerington, formerly of Van Wert, Ohio, died at 6:50 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at Mt. Carmel East Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.
She was born March 29, 1930, in Van Wert County, Ohio, to the late Edith (McClure) Kreischer and Lawrence Kreischer.
Her husbands, Robert Bashore and Paul W. Bilderback, are deceased.
Survivors include a son: Robert (Dawn) Bilderback of Pickerington; stepdaughter: Rebecca (Steve) Bradley of Sanford, Florida; her friend and pet, Mitzie, her pet toy poodle; several nieces and nephews; brothers: Gerald (Dixie) Kreischer and Harold (Sherry) Kreischer, both of Ohio City, Oh; Max (Janet) Kreischer of Van Wert, and Ronnie (Linda) Kreischer of Lexington, Ohio; brother-in-law: Bill (Rowena) Bashore of Paulding, Ohio; sisters: Marcile Pennell of Empire, Colorado, and Audrey (Bill) Campbell of Ridgecrest, California; a sister-in-law: Helen Kreischer of Van Wert; five grandchildren: Robb (Diana) Bilderback, Tony Bilderback, Amanda Bilderback, Renee (Nick) Taddeucci, and Rick Bilderback; stepgrandchildren: Robert and Amanda Heintzman, and 10 great-grandchildren: Kaveynder and Hansen Bilderback, Derek, Marissa, and Madison Wohlfiel, Emily Bilderback, Layne and Peyton Leonard, and Marco and Gianna Tadduecci.
She was preceded in death by brothers: Gaylord, Robert, Ralph, Floyd, James, and Larry Kreischer.
She was a secretary at Aeroquip for several years and sold Avon Products, winning many awards through the company. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Van Wert, a former member of Van Wert Business & Professional Women, and an avid NASCAR, Ohio State, Reds, and Indians fan. Barbara was also a former member of the St. Paul's Reformed Church in Ohio City, Ohio.
Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 10, 2015, at First United Methodist Church, Van Wert. The Rev. Gus Christo-Baker and Rev. Paul Miller will officiate.
Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Saturday, May 9, 2015, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert, and one hour prior to services Sunday at the church.
Preferred memorial is American Cancer Society or donor's choice.
