Becky Thomas

Becky L. Thomas, 65, of Convoy, died at 7:01 a.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

She was born December 30, 1950, in Coldwater, the daughter of Harvey and Betty (Allen) Wolfe, who both preceded in death. On March 23, 1973, she married James A. Thomas, who survives in Convoy.

Survivors include two children, Scott (Jessica Suthers) Thomas and Paula (Rod) Dawson, both of Convoy; a sister, Donna Franke of Troy; one brother-in-law, Ronnie Thomas of Findlay; a sister-in-law, Pam Vannett of Van Wert; five grandchildren, Stacey (Shane) Carroll, Stephanie (Eric) Hammond, Haley Dawson, Trew Thomas, and Zoey Thomas; and four great-grandchildren, Braxton Stump, Gavin Hammond, Hunter Dawson, and Gabriella Hammond.

She was preceded in death by 3 sisters: Sue Smith, Linda Wolfe & Rita Bender.

Becky was a homemaker and a member of American Legion Post 178 and Moose Lodge 1320, both in Van Wert. She enjoyed bingo and garage sales and was an avid poker, Texas Hold ‘Em, and euchre player. She also loved cookouts and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 16, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with Kathy Fenimore officiating. Friends are invited to join the family immediately following the service for a time of fellowship and nourishment at the Van Wert Moose Lodge.

Calling hours are from 2-4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
