Benjamin Hubble

Benjamin L. Hubble, 50, of Van Wert, passed away at 9:42 AM on Friday, March 26, 2021 at Van Wert Health.

Ben was born on May 27, 1970, in Lima, the son of Richard and Monica (Burnett) Hubble.

Ben put up with his wheelchair and all the limitations, pain and the loss of dreams for almost 15 years. He never lost his sense of humor or his compassion for others.

Ben loved his country, his family, his friends, his dear aides, his dog, Myra and Harley Davidsons. Most of all he loved his son Jaden. The high point of Ben's life was when Jaden was born.

Ben graduated from Lincolnview and Vantage Career Center in 1989. He graduated from truck driving school in 1991 and went on to drive cross country for several years. He had worked at Sav-A-Lot, Marsh and Haviland Drainage.

Surviving are his parents, Rich and Moni of Van Wert; his son, Jaden Hubble of Van Wert; and his brother, Mike Hubble.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Tom and Patty Burnett; his paternal grandparents, Ed and Leota Hubble; and several cousins, a niece and nephew, and a uncle.

His funeral will be held at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 , at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home and Crematory, 722 S. Washington St. Van Wert, OH 45891, with Rev. Lance Hostetler, officiating.

Visitation will be held from 2:00-5:00 PM on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at the funeral home.

Although all family and friends are encouraged to attend Ben's services, the state of Ohio mandates facial coverings.
