Berneice Alice (King) Davis, a long-time resident of Van Wert, Ohio, passed peacefully at 8:00 am on the morning of July 1, 2016 at the Van Wert Inpatient Hospice. She was blessed by the company of many friends and family and was surrounded by her loved ones when she passed.
Born on February 12, 1929 at home in Pleasant Mills, Indiana to John and Glennis (Rupp) King. She was a farmer all of her life, owned her own cake baking business and enjoyed teaching Sunday school at Bethel United Methodist Church. Berneice is survived by her husband, Wilfred C. Davis, with whom she just celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on May 6. She is also survived by their children, Charles & Deb Davis of Ohio City, OH; Roger & Tina Davis of Montello, WI; Lester and Cindy Davis of Cincinnati, OH. She is also survived by her seven siblings Leonard (Marcile) King, Junior (Joann) King, Sue Braun, Terry (Shirley) King, Dean (Kathy) King, Linda (Bob) Riley, Rita (Ken) Johansen. She and Wilfred also have 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. The visitation will be held from 2-7PM at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home on Sunday, July 3, 2016 and 1 hour prior to the service on Monday . Her service will be conducted by Greg Wack on Monday, July 4,2016 at 10AM also at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home. She will be buried at Ridge Cemetery, Middle Point, OH.
