VAN WERT, Ohio - Besse C. Adams, 87, of Van Wert, died at 4:40 a.m. Friday, April 29, 2011, at Hearth & Home in Van Wert.
She was born July 28, 1923, in Paulding County, Ohio, to the late Loma (Endsley) McClure and Clyde McClure. Her husband, Rudy Z. Adams, died Aug. 19, 2010.
Survivors include her children: Gregg (Barbara) Adams of Van Wert, Brock (Beth Kroeger) Adams of Grover Hill, Ohio, and Angela Tomlinson of Van Wert; one sister: Marilyn Lytle of Grover Hill; seven grandchildren: Brent Adams; Dirk (Suzi) Adams; Stephanie (Shawn) Ward; Jon (Diana), Travis & Jared Tomlinson; Alex Adams, and seven great-grandchildren: Taylor and Zac Tomlinson; Chandler & Meredith Adams; Katie, Emily and Claire Ward.
She was preceded in death by a daughter: Beth Ann Adams, and a sister: Antha Rose Thompson is Dec.
She was a homemaker and attended First United Methodist Church, Van Wert. She was a former member of the Van Wert Woman's Club and a member of Hoaglin-Jackson Sunrise Club and Martha Ruth Group of the church.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 2, 2011, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert. Burial will be in Middle Creek Cemetery, Grover Hill. Calling hours are 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. Sunday, May 1, 2011, at the funeral home.
