Betty Kuhn

Betty Eileen Kuhn, 86, of Rockford, Ohio, died Sunday evening, December 20, 2020, at the Laurels of Shane Hill in Rockford, where she was a patient. She was born December 5, 1934, in Van Wert County, Ohio, the daughter of Delmer and Jessie (Huffman) Caywood. She married Frank Kuhn on June 3, 1988, and he preceded in death in January of 2009. Betty was a homemaker all her life and always lived on a farm. She also had worked at the Photo Star in Willshire, Ohio, for many years. She enjoyed gardening and canning, and Betty always enjoyed baking homemade goods and treats and spending time with the grandkids. She always made the holidays special with all her goodies that she baked. Her "special" cake that she made was always requested for the auction at the church. Her fudge, cookies, and cakes were the best! She was a member of the Olive Branch Church of God, Ohio City, Ohio, and a member of the Women's Christian Society there. She lived in Rockford for many years before moving to the Versailles area in 1988, after marrying Frank. In 2011, she moved back to Rockford.

Surviving are her children: Scott (Jennifer) Ralston of Rockford, Ohio; David Ralston of Bonita Springs, Florida; Rhonda (Larry) Lenart, also of Bonita Springs, Florida; and Melissa (Bryan) Etzcorn of Rockford, Ohio; and 2 step-sons: Jack (Cheryl) Kuhn of Arcanum, Ohio; and Bill (Kris) Kuhn of Battleground, Washington. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren: Chad, Kayla Shane, Abigayl, and Samantha Ralston, and Reid and Brendan Etzcorn; and 10 great grandchildren. Deceased are 2 grandchildren, Joshua and Cory Ralston, 2 sisters, Dorothy Mihm and Frances Williams, and 1 brother, Lowell E. Caywood.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at 2:00 p.m., at New Horizons Community Church in Rockford, Ohio, with Pastor Ken Meyer officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Rockford. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church. Condolences may be expressed at ketchamripley.com
