Betty J. Lloyd, 91, of Van Wert, Ohio died 12:37 AM Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Van Wert Manor Nursing Home.
Betty was born October 27, 1926 in York Township, Van Wert County, Ohio to the late William Spencer and Helen Bertha (Clouse) Hughes. On April 6, 1950 she married John Russell Lloyd and he preceded her in death on October 17, 1991.
Betty is survived by 2 sons, James R. Lloyd and Danny L. Lloyd, both of Van Wert; and a brother, Billy D. Hughes of Van Wert.
Mrs. Lloyd was a homemaker and a very active member of Salem Presbyterian Church, Venedocia, Ohio.
In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Alice Mae Dull and Velma Hirsch.
Funeral service will be held 1:30 PM Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert, Ohio with Rev. Tom Emery officiating. Burial will follow in Venedocia Cemetery, Venedocia, Ohio.
Visitation will be 4-8 PM Monday, December 18, 2017 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert, Ohio.
Preferred memorials may be directed to Salem Presbyterian Church Major Improvement Fund.
