Betty E. Thompson, 76, of Middle Point, died at 3:10 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.
She was born July 24, 1936, in Paulding County, the daughter of the late Merlin and N. Eileen (Whitaker) Mosier. She married Harold A. "Butch" Thompson, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Thompson retired from Aeroquip Corporation in Van Wert after more than 30 years of service. She was a member of Van Wert County Hospital's Twig II group.
Survivors include two children, Robbie R. (Jodi) Thompson of Middle Point and Juli R. Steingass of Defiance; a daughter-in-law, Kim (Darrel) Clayton of Convoy; two brothers, Mel R. (Diane) Mosier of Rockford, Ill., and Rex A. Mosier of Van Wert; two sisters, Lu Hittle of Middle Point and Sally Bowen of Van Wert; one aunt, Mary (Howard) McDonald of Van Wert; and five grandchildren, Lauren and Collin Thompson, Jayci and Ryan Steingass and Branden Clayton.
A son, Rickie L. Thompson, also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 1, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Clark Williman officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery in rural Van Wert County.
Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Friday, May 31, at the funeral home.
