Beverly Jo Gable, 76, of Celina, Ohio, formerly of Rockford, Ohio and Scottsdale, Arizona, died Sunday afternoon at her residence. She was born on March 2, 1939, in Delaware County, Indiana, and raised in Parker City, Indiana. She was the daughter of Walter and Essie (Gribble) Hickman. She graduated from Monroe Central in Parker City, Indiana, and went on to obtain her degree in Home Economics from Ball State University. On June 7, 1959, she married Carl "Gene" Gable, and he preceded in death on December 8, 1989. She and Gene moved to Rockford in 1965, where she owned and operated Superior Interior. In 1991, she moved to Scottsdale, Arizona, where she worked at Scottsdale Insurance. In 2013, she moved back to the area, making her home in Celina. Bev was a member of the Rockford United Methodist Church, the Celina American Legion Auxiliary and the Rockford Eagles Auxiliary. Surviving is her daughter, Jennifer (George) Bruggeman of Celina, Ohio; her grand daughter, Michelle Bruggeman, also of Celina, Ohio; a brother-in-law, Max (Wanda) Gable, Muncie, Indiana; 5 nephews and 1 niece, and her friend, Robert Villard, of Celina, Ohio. Deceased in addition to her parents and her step-father, Dwight Keopple, is her daughter, Jeanne A. Gilman, and 2 sisters, Helen Hickman and Dorothy Cline. Graveside services will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Riverside Cemetery in Rockford, Ohio, where burial will follow. Officiating will be Casey Nuttle, Celebrant. Friends may call at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home on Thursday from 4-6 p.m.
