Bradley Cashel

Bradley E. Cashel, 57, of Van Wert, Ohio died Thursday, March 01, 2018 in Van Wert, Ohio.  He was born June 26, 1960 in Van Wert, Ohio to Myron E. “Mike” and June J. (Clutter) Cashel.  They survive of Van Wert.

Brad owned his own precision fabrication business and drag racing was his passion.  He was a member of the Chip Ganassi Racing Team when they won the 2000 Indianapolis 500.  Brad was a member of the National Hot Rod Association and was a 1978 graduate of Lincolnview High School.  Brad loved animals, especially his dog Gi Gi.

He is also survived by a brother, Rick (Lisa) Cashel of Convoy, Ohio, a sister, Vicki (Steven) Chavarria of Van Wert, and a longtime special friend, Randi McVoy of Van Wert.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday, March 5, 2018 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert with the Rev. Dr. Jody Harr officiating.  Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert, Ohio.

Visitation will be 2-5 PM Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert, Ohio and one hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials may be directed to the Van Wert County Humane Society.
