Brandy Burton

Brandy S. (Hartman) Burton, 41, of Van Wert, passed away the evening of Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Van Wert Health Emergency Room. She was born March 19, 1977, in Van Wert, to Randy Hartman and Pamela Sue (Custer) Waltmire.

A 1996 graduate of Van Wert High School, Brandy enjoyed playing Bingo and going camping. She also loved going to Thoroughbred horse races.

Most recently, Brandy worked as a Pink Zebra Consultant. She was a wonderful mother, daughter and granddaughter who adored her son, Hunter and dog, Harley.

She is survived by her loving son, Hunter Burton of Van Wert; mother, Pam Waltmire of Van Wert; father, Randy (Brenda) Hartman of Van Wert; grandmother, Joan Custer of Van Wert; stepbrothers: Mark Pate of Grover Hill; Randy (Sherry) Waltmire of Coldwater; Troy Waldron of Van Wert; stepsister, Judy Waldron of Van Wert; uncles, Charles Custer; Gordy (Malynda) Custer; Kip Hartman, all of Van Wert; aunts, Vicki (Scott) Vonderembse of Fort Jennings;  Kathy (Gene) Eash of WI; as well as many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her infant son, Fisher Burton; stepfather, Robert Waltmire; grandfather, Allen “Whitey” Custer; grandparents, Charles and Alberta Hartman; stepbrother, Robert Waltmire, Jr.

A funeral service will be 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Convoy IOOF Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 P.M. Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at the funeral home.

Preferred memorial is the Van Wert County Humane Society.
