Brian Evan Myers, 20, of Haviland, died Saturday, June 13, 2015, from injuries from an automobile accident in Henry County. He was born February 13, 1995, in Van Wert, the son of Jerry Alan & Holly (Walter) Myers, who both survive in Haviland. Survivors include a brother, Derek Myers, at home; paternal grandmother, Colleen Myers of Haviland; and aunts and uncles, Chuck and Marla Overman of Rockford, Mark and Gaye Myers of Payne, Rick Myers and John and Camille Myers, all of Haviland. His paternal grandfather, Tom Myers; and his maternal grandparents, Max and Colleen Walter, preceded him in death. Brian was an intern for AgriGold, based at Pond Seed Company in Scott. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Paulding. He was currently a full-time student at The Ohio State University in Columbus, was a 2013 graduate of Wayne Trace High School, was an active member of the Agricultural Systems Management Club and he recently participated on the second-place National Collegiate Ag Mechanics Team hosted by the North American Colleges & Teacher of Agriculture Organization. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 20, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Paulding, with Pastor Karen Stetins and Doug Roop of Youth for Christ officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery in Paulding. Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Friday, June 19, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, and an hour prior to services Saturday at the church. Preferred memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Paulding County Area Foundation for a scholarship to be given in Brian's name.
