Catherine Miller

Catherine M. Miller, 90, Rockford, died Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at 3:01 p.m. at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater, Ohio. She was born October 30, 1922, in Liberty Township, Rockford, Ohio, to the late Theodore (Ted) and Carrie (Becher) Leininger. On December 29, 1945, she married Glenn N. Miller who proceeded her in death on June 24, 1994. Survivors include her son Jerry (Cheryl) Miller of Fort Wayne, Indiana and a son-in-law Kenneth (Margo) Brodbeck, Celina and a sister Dorothy Jean Hellwarth, Celina, Ohio. Three grandchildren Kris Ann (Brodbeck) (Tim) Kaiser, Troy, Ohio, Aaron and Taylor Miller, Fort Wayne, Indiana and two great grandchildren Nathan and Ryan Kaiser of Troy. She was proceeded in death by husband Glenn N. Miller, daughter Janet Brodbeck, and grandson Jeff Brodbeck, and her parents. She graduated from Willshire High School and International Business College in Fort Wayne, Indiana where she was an honor student in 1941. She retired from Parkway Local Schools after 21 years as the high school secretary. Catherine was a lifetime member of Zion Lutheran Church, Chattanooga where she has been very active. Funeral services will be held Saturday March 16, at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran, Chattanooga with pastor Karen Tammoria officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Chattanooga. Friends may call Friday March 15, from 4-8 p.m. at Ketcham Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford. Memorials may be directed to Zion Lutheran Church.
