Chad Caldwell

Chad M. Caldwell, 39, of Van Wert, died Friday morning, Nov. 4, 2016, in Van Wert. He was born Aug. 17, 1977, in Van Wert, to Carol Dickson, who survives of Van Wert, and the late Gregory W. Caldwell. His stepfather, Kurt Strukamp, survives of Madison, Indiana.
Other survivors include his children, Ally Evans of Van Wert, Tanner Caldwell, Chloe Caldwell and Kyler Caldwell, all of Indianapolis, Indiana; brothers, Kyle Caldwell of Toledo, Ohio, and Anthony (Terra) Terhark of Van Wert; sisters, Lacy (Dan) Christman of Madison, Indiana, and Miranda (Chris) Schrader of Scott, Ohio; one grandchild, Camden Buzard; paternal grandparents, Richard and Sandra Caldwell of Van Wert, and maternal grandmother, Mary Bohnsack of Toledo.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Doyt Dickson.
He worked in construction.
Chad Caldwell is a son, father, grandfather, brother, and a friend to many. He is kind, thoughtful, out-going, and a "jack of all trades" of many skills. His contagious laugh, jokes and smile will not be forgotten. He will be greatly missed.
Service will begin at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, 2016, at Liberty Baptist Church, Van Wert.
