Charlene Resor

WILLSHIRE, Ohio - Charlene G. Resor, 94, of Willshire, died at 7:50 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012, at The Laurels of Shane Hill, Rockford, Ohio.
She was born Oct. 12, 1917, in Liberty Township, Van Wert County, Ohio, to the late Virgie (Voltz) Hoverman and Ross Hoverman. Her husband, Clarence R. Resor, died Oct. 18, 1998. They were married June 19, 1936.
Survivors include a son: Ralph R. (Monika) Resor of Senden, Germany, six grandchildren: Susie Jacobson, Monica Resor, Rollie Resor, Trudy Bedwell, Ron (Kendra) Bruns and Brandy Phillips and 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter: Cathy Jo Bruns, one brother and a sister.
She retired from National Seal Corp., Van Wert, after 15 years of service. She had also worked at Van Wert Manufacturing Co. She was a member of the former Willshire United Methodist Church, a former 4-H camp director, a 50-year charter member of the Van Wert Eagles Auxiliary, and also served as trustee for eight years.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 10 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert, Ohio. Burial will be held at a later date at Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert.
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9 at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is the American Diabetes Association.
