Charles Dixon

Charles E. “Chuckie” Dixon, 61, of Van Wert, passed away 1:20 am, Monday, February 05, 2018 at Van Crest of Van Wert. He was born June 14, 1956, in Van Wert, OH to the late Francis L. and Margaret L. Dixon.

Charles was a longtime mem ber of Trinity Friends Church in Van Wert. He worked for several companies, including International Harvester and Walmart. Prior to his illness, he was an avid bowler. Charles was also huge sports fan, cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers, Cleveland Indians and the Fort Wayne Komets.

He is survived by his son, Taylor W. Dixon; brothers, Russell Dixon, Roy Dixon, David (Cari) Dixon & Mark Dixon, sisters, Ruth Moore & Deb Goldfuss, all of Van Wert; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be 4:00 pm Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Greg Rice presiding. Private interment will be Monday in Ridge Cemetery.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Thursday, February 8, 2018 from 1 to 4 at the funeral home.
