Charles Mosier

Charles A. Mosier, 95, of rural Grover Hill, OH went to be with his Lord and Savior at 6:30PM Thursday February 1, 2018 at Hearth & Home of Van Wert.  Charles was a Farmer all of his life, worked some at Continental Can Co. Van Wert and worked 30 years at International Harvester in Ft. Wayne, IN where he retired in January of 1981.

He was born in Paulding County near Grover Hill to Alvin J. & Flora (Fast) Mosier on August 26, 1922. He married Alma F. (McClish) Mosier who preceded him in death on March 11,2004.

Survived by 4 children Charles Junior (Betty) Mosier, Carl Wayne (Carolyn) Mosier and Brenda Sue Nantz all of  Grover Hill, OH, and Shirley Jean (Dave) Dawson of Van Wert, OH; 20 grandchildren, 28 great grand and 12 great great grand.

He was preceded in death by granddaughter Crystal M. Elston, 1 great granddaughter Gabrielle N. Ellis, 1 great great grandson Justin Stegaman, 2 brothers Bice Eugene and Elmer Mosier, 3 half-brothers Merlin & Ernest Mosier and Albert Walters, 2 half-sisters Clara Mae Sanderson & Dorthy Slusser.

He was a member of the United Methodist Bethel Church of Grover Hill until it closed and then attended First Baptist Church of Van Wert.

Funeral services will be 10:30AM Monday Feb. 5,2018 @ Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, OH. Calling will be from 2-6 PM Sunday Feb. 4,2018 @ Alspach-Gearhart.  Rev. Steve Robinson will be officiating.  Graveside services will be at 2:30PM Monday @ Riverview Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Defiance, OH.  Preferred memorials may go to: State of the Heart Hospice OR Scott Fire Department.
