Charlotte Ann Hamilton

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Charlotte Ann Hamilton, 79, of Van Wert, OH, who passed away on November 22, 2024, at Homestead at Towne Center, in Van Wert. Born in Greenville, MS on October 22, 1945, to Robert and Ruth (Hambley) Morgan, Charlotte found immense joy in being a homemaker and caring for her family.

Charlotte was a loving wife to her husband, John Hamilton of Van Wert; a devoted mother to her sons, Mike Hamilton of Van Wert and John Robert Hamilton of North Dakota; and her daughter Heather (Brad) Ecklund of Arkansas, always putting their needs above her own. She adored her pets and cherished the time spent with her 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. As a military wife, she accompanied her husband, John, on their adventures around the world, residing in places like Michigan, Iran, Wyoming, Japan, and Hawaii before settling in Van Wert in 2009 to be closer to family.

Alongside her husband John, Charlotte created a warm and welcoming home, where family and friends were always welcome. She will be deeply missed by her husband, children, grandchildren, brother Wayne (Judy) Morgan, sister Sandra (Dave) Spraker, several nieces and nephews and all who knew and loved her.

To honor Charlotte's memory, a memorial visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00pm on Monday, November 25, 2024, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert.
