Charlotte Harting

Charlotte Eileen (Matthews) Harting, 82, of Van Wert, died at 5:30 a.m. Monday, February 1, 2016, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.
She was born April 3, 1933, in Van Wert, the daughter of Earl Lee and Nellie Anna (Boyd) Matthews, who both preceded her in death. On May 24, 1953, she married Lawrence Edwin Harting, who survives in Van Wert.
Other survivors include a son, Larry Alan (Kim) Harting of Carmel, Indiana; one daughter, Julie Hunter of Cecil; two brothers, Roy (Emiko) Matthews of Van Wert and the Rev. Rick (Mary) Matthews of Indianapolis, Indiana; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Two brothers, Charles Matthews and Ralph Matthews; and a sister, Cora Lee Matthews, also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon Friday, February 5, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Rick Matthews officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
