Chris Lee Prichard, 48, of Rockford, Ohio, died at 2:40 a.m. on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Lutheran Hospital, Ft. Wayne, Indiana, after a lengthy illness. He was born on June 2, 1969, in Van Wert, Ohio, to James "Bugs" and Sandra "Sandy" (Wise) Prichard. On December 14, 1991, he married his loving wife, Karla Bowen, and she survives in Rockford. Chris was a loving father, husband, son and brother. His family was the highlight of his life, especially his beautiful girls, who he was so proud of! He spent a lot of time attending all of the girls' extra-curricular and sporting events. He went to all of their functions and especially enjoyed watching their many softball games. Chris was a 'handy man' who thoroughly enjoyed working in the garage. He loved going to watch racing events at Eldora and loved NASCAR. Chris was a 1987 graduate of Ohio City-Liberty High School and attended Vantage. He worked for 27 years in the maintenance department at Eisenhauer Manufacturing Co. in Van Wert, Ohio. Surviving in addition to his wife Karla are their four daughters: Chloe Prichard at Ball State University, Sophie Prichard, a senior at Parkway & Vantage Career Center, and twin girls Emma and Ellie Prichard, 6th graders at Parkway; Parents, Jim and Sandy Prichard of Rockford; One brother, Keith (Michelle) Prichard of Rockford; Mother-in-law, Norma Jean Bowen; Two sisters-in-law, Kathy Banks and Kelly (Sid) Taylor; and one brother-in-law, Jeff (Mel) Bowen, along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Preceding him in death are his Paternal Grandparents Neil and Wanda Prichard, Maternal Grandparents Willie and Helen Wise, and father-in-law, Raymond Bowen. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 11, 2017, at 4:00 p.m. at New Horizons Community Church, Rockford, Ohio. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City, Ohio. Friends may call at New Horizons Church prior to the funeral service on Monday from 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Memorials may be directed to the family.
