VAN WERT, Ohio - Cindy S. Preston, 63, of Van Wert, died at 6:35 a.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice, Van Wert.
She was born Jan. 30, 1950, in Van Wert, to Virginia (Woebbeking) Preston and Richard "Dick" Preston, who survive of Van Wert.
She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews which she adored and they adored her - each and every one of them. They all lovingly referred to her as Aunt Cinny.
Other survivors include a brother: Rick (Alicia) Preston of Van Wert and sisters: Sandee (Steve) Greulach and Cheryl (Terry) Cunningham, both of Van Wert, Pam (Keith) Walsh of Convoy, Ohio, and Robin (Troy) Childs of Van Wert.
She was preceded in death by a sister: Linda Dickey.
She formerly worked at the Thomas Edison Workshop, Van Wert. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Convoy and a former member of the Special Olympics. She was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan and NASCAR fan - especially Dale Earnhardt, Jr.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, April 28 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Convoy. The Rev. Rita Bair will officiate. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Saturday, April 27 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert, also one hour prior to services Sunday at the church.
Preferred memorial is Van Wert Inpatient Hospice or Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church.
