VAN WERT, Ohio — Cleo E. Wells, 85, of Van Wert, died at 3 p.m. Friday, April 11, 2014, at Vancrest of Van Wert.
He was born Aug. 9, 1928, in Grover Hill, Ohio, to the late Inez (Cotterman) Wells and Lawson Wells.
His wife, Jackie L. (Brotherwood) Wells, survives of Van Wert. They were married June 7, 1952.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Harold Wells, sisters: Kate Yearling, Dorothy Dilbone and Lucille Dyer, and a grandchild.
He retired as a receiving clerk at Van Wert County Hospital after 31 years of service. He was a 10-year American Red Cross volunteer.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert. The Rev. Paul Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery, Middle Point, Ohio.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 14, 2014, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is American Red Cross OR Vancrest of Van Wert Activities Fund.
