CONVOY, Ohio - Cleva J. Myers, 82, of Convoy, loving and devoted mother & grandmother, died at 4:25 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center, Van Wert.
She was born Feb. 9, 1929, in Middlebury, Ohio, to the late Ada (Finkhousen) Weaver and John Weaver. Her husband, Joseph "Toby" W. Myers, died in December 1972.
Survivors include her children: Kent "Smokey" J. Myers of Convoy, Jeff (Darlene) Myers of Van Wert and Juli (Steve) Dietrich of Convoy; three brothers: Paul (Theresa) Weaver of Convoy, Bill (Marlene) Weaver of Ohio City, Ohio, and Donald (Marvine) Weaver of Convoy; a brother-in-law: Gary Gehres of Ohio City; a sister: Phylis (Jerry) Ulman of Decatur, Ind.; six grandchildren: Sommer Myers, Ashley and Shea Lynne Dietrich; Anna Kay, Whitney and Tyler Myers, and four great-grandchildren: Derek Coil; Gracie Morgan; Aiden Dietrich; and Allie Kraner.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and six sisters.
She was a member of Countryside Chapel United Methodist Church, Convoy. She retired from Teleflex Corp. and as a former door greeter at Wal-Mart, both in Van Wert.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 5, 2011, at Gearhart Mack & Jurczyk Funeral Home, Convoy. The Rev. Wayne Karges will officiate. Burial will be in Monroeville Cemetery, Monroeville, Ind.
Calling hours are 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2011, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Convoy Fire & EMS.
