Daniel Wayne Pool, 51, of Celina, died January 3, 2014, at his residence.
He was born in Long Beach, California, on April 7, 1962, the youngest son of Gene Pool and Beverly (Cantwil) Pool Ahrens.
Danny spent his life working with his hands. He was a devoted friend who never hesitated to help someone in need. Believing in the value of a life lived simply, Danny understood that his treasures were to be stored in Heaven, and his greatest possessions were found in those whom he loved.
Danny spent the last 15 years employed by Cooper Farms in Saint Henry, Ohio, and he enjoyed motivating those around him. He was known for his sincere care, his shy smile, and his quest to understand the deeper meaning of the life he lived.
Danny is survived by his three brothers, Gene (Vickie) Pool of Van Wert, Steve Pool of Fostoria, and Tim Ahrens of Celina. Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Michael Pool.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 11, at First Friends Church, 210 S. Franklin St., Van Wert, with Pastor Paul Hamrick officiating.
