Danny Agler

Danny E. Agler, 74, of Convoy died at 10:36 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at Parkview Home & Health Hospice, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
He was born August 3, 1942, in Van Wert to Bruce A. Agler and Esther (Waldron) Agler, both preceded him in death.
He is survived by three of his children, Curtis A. Agler of Decatur, Jamison (Marsha) Agler of Convoy and Spencer (Jen) Balliet of Van Wert; his brother, Steven Agler of Van Wert; and grandchildren, Nicole Sue Shaw, Kylee Ann Agler, Austin A. Agler, Tanisha Jean Agler and Hadley Balliet.
He was preceded in death by two of his children, Michael A. and Christopher A. Agler; his brother, Larry J. Agler; and his sister, Connie Barnes.
Danny honorably served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Conflict.
He worked at Grief Brothers in Van Wert for 22 years, was a member of Convoy United Methodist Church, Convoy,
Graveside services will be held 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 21, at Taylor Cemetery, Van Wert, with military services being conducted by combined units of the Van Wert VFW and American Legion. The Rev. Melissa Steinecker will officiate.
