Darrell Lee Brodbeck. 73, of Rockford, Ohio, formerly of Willshire, Ohio, died at 4:15 p.m. on July 14, 2015, at Lima Memorial Hospital where he was a patient. He was born on June 22, 1942 in Willshire, Ohio, the son of Roy and Rosie (Garwood) Brodbeck. On October 9, 1970, he married Mary Swoveland, and she survives in Rockford. He had worked at Decatur Industries in Decatur, Indiana, and had attended the Celina Baptist Temple Church. Darrell was a U.S. Army veteran and was a member of the Rockford American Legion Post #508. He had lived in the area all his life. Surviving in addition to his wife Mary are 4 sons--Philip, Roger, Amos, and Matthew Brodbeck; 7 grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy (Don) Lhotka of Grand Meadow, Minnesota; and a brother, Earl (Marjorie) Brodbeck of Willshire, Ohio. Deceased is a sister, Helen Hogan and an infant brother. Graveside services will be held on Monday, July 20, 2015, at 11:00 a.m., at Willshire Cemetery, Willshire, Ohio. Officiating will be Cliff Rice. Burial will follow at the cemetery.
