ANGOLA, Ind. a�" David C. Springer, 61, of Angola, formerly of Van Wert, Ohio, died at 8:58 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 1, 2015, at his residence.
He was born June 9, 1953, in Van Wert, to the late Betty P. (Ditto) Springer and Gene Richard Springer.
His wife, Debra (Runyon) Springer, survives in Angola.
Other survivors include children: Shad (Stacia) Springer of Van Wert, and Trisha (Danny) Fredericks of Wheatland, Wyoming; brother: Stephen (Robin) Springer of Convoy, Ohio; sister: Jeannie (Bud) Clarkson of Sylvania, Ohio, and grandchildren: Nicholas, Zachary and Madilynn Springer, Brenna, Paige and Caleb Fredericks.
He was the owner of Springer Engineering and a member of Bethel Gilead Community Church, Bronson, Michigan. He was a veteran of the US Army, an avid fisherman and boater, and loved being with his family.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 5, 2015, at Calvary Evangelical Church, Van Wert. Pastor Jim Erwin and the Rev. Clark Williman will officiate. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert. Military graveside services will be conducted by the Van Wert American Legion and VFW Posts. Visitation is 2-6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 4, 2015, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert, and calling one hour prior to the service at the church.
