OHIO CITY, Ohio a�" Doris Viola (Fisher) Gallaway of Ohio City, died at 8:54 a.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, Ohio. She was born May 10, 1923, in Van Wert County, Ohio, to Nellie (Harter) Fisher and Orbie Fisher. Her parents are deceased.
The father of her children, Ronald Gallaway, preceded her in death.
Survivors include children, James Gallaway of Convoy, Ohio, Terry Joe (Brenda) Gallaway and Mary Ann Gallaway, both of Ohio City, Ohio, grandchildren, Kelly Feipel, Sheila Tewksbury, Marie Winters, Clayton Gallaway, John Gallaway, Angela Marquez, Ashley Gallaway and Erik Byer, and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Larry Gallaway, who died in infancy; a daughter-in-law, Sue Gallaway; a son-in-law, Bruce Byer; a brother, Marvin Fisher, and two sisters, Margaret Greulach and Lois Kiehl.
Doris was a loving mother, grandmother and homemaker.
Service will begin at noon on Saturday, April 22, 2017, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert. Private family committal service will be held at Ridge Cemetery, Middle Point, Ohio.
Visitation is 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 22, 2017, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is donor's choice.
