Doris Carlisle Webster Pratt, 80, of Van Wert, died at 3:34 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2016, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.
She was born January 21, 1936, in Grover Hill, the daughter of Walter and Delilah (Hennick) Carlisle, who both preceded her in death. She first married Harold Webster, and then Rolland Pratt, who both also preceded her in death.
Survivors include four children, Harold "Hal" (Richard L. Herman) Webster of Columbus, and Jeff Webster, Charles Webster, and Elizabeth (Bruce) Fleming, all of Scott; three stepchildren, Rolland (Joan) Pratt of Toledo, Deanna Snyder of Maryland, and Ted (Dianne) Pratt of Woodville; a sister, Laura (Richard) Bowers of Haviland; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; and 14 step great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Edith Corn; seven brothers, Walter, Gerold, Kenneth, Earl Rex, Herbert, Raymond, and Mervin Carlisle; three sisters, Mary Bowholtz, Lela Smazenka, and Garnet Hasch; a grandchild; and one stepgrandchild, also preceded her in death.
Doris worked for Borden Foods in Van Wert for 10 years and for Federal-Mogul Corporation in Van Wert for 11 years, until her retirement in 1996. She was a member of Zion Christian Union Church.
Doris graduated from Paulding High School and was a former member of Haviland United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the WSCS. She also was an enthusiastic collector of salt and pepper shakers.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 20, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with Pastor Dan Newell officiating. Burial will be in Scott Cemetery.
Visitation is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, and an hour prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home.
