Dorothy Irene Curtiss, "Dot", 92, of Van Wert passed away at 5:30 pm on October 10, 2021 at Van Wert Manor. She was born March 31, 1929, in Paulding county, to the late Homer and Della Ross.
She is survived by her son, Robert Curtiss; daughter-in -law, Carol Carter both of Van Wert; grandchildren: Gary (Tammy) Carter, Jr.; William "Ed" (Traci) Carter; Anthony "Tony" (Rita) Carter, all of Van Wert; Amanda (Tony) Wright of Ohio City; great grandchildren: Cassandra (Matt), Brent (Brandy), Dustin, Thad (Krystal), Noah, Nicholas, Lydia, Audrey, Mac, Carter, Jack, Van, Langston; great great grandchildren: Vaughn, Ava and 2 on the way.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, John Curtiss; and her sons: William & Gary Carter.
Dorothy will be laid to rest privately next to to her husband in Woodland Cemetery. The family will celebrate Dorothy's life with a private ceremony officiated by Rev. Chris Farmer of First United Methodist Church.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, 722 S Washington Street, Van Wert, OH 45891.
