Dorothy Singer-Pease, age 97, of Phoenix AZ, formerly from Grover Hill OH, was welcomed home to be with her Lord and Savior, September 25, 2016. She was born in Van Wert OH on July 5, 1919 to Dennie and Edith (Baer) Baker. She grew up in Grover Hill where she graduated in 1937. During World War II she worked for General Electric in Ft. Wayne. After that she was at Montgomery Ward in Van Wert as a fashion buyer for women’s clothes until they closed. She went on to work at Kennedy Manufacturing where she retired.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Inez Baker, brother Jim Baker, and husband Dale Pease. She is survived by daughter Diane (Joe) Wolfe of Phoenix AZ, two grandchildren Kimberly (Kevin) Borchardt of Louisville KY and Warner (Shannon) Coombe of Gilbert AZ, and four great-grandchildren Robert and Kalena Borchardt and Shelby and Grace Coombe.
Memorial service will be held Saturday June 2, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Middle Creek United Methodist Church in Grover Hill with Pastor Eileen Kochensparger presiding. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow in Middle Creek Cemetery.
