Dorothy White

Dorothy Elizabeth White, 97, of Willshire, Ohio, died at 5:09 a.m. Saturday, April 7, 2012 at the Van Wert County Hospital. She was born on October 31, 1914, in Hopewell Township, Mercer County, Ohio, the daughter of Ralph and Elsie Ann (Eichenaur) Zimmerman. On November 3,1943, she married Harold D. White, who preceded in death on July 24, 1990. She was a homemaker and a member of the Willshire Union United Methodist Church, and lived in the area all her life.

Surviving are 3 sons: David (Becky) White, Willshire, Ohio; Robert White, Decatur, Indiana; Ralph White, Willshire, Ohio; 2 daughters: Linda (Stephen) Ford, Celina, Ohio and Karen (Ronald) Heiser, Decatur, Indiana. One brother, Rolland (Betty) Zimmerman survives in Celina, Ohio. Twelve grandchildren , 15 great grandchildren, and 1 great- great grandchild also survive.

Deceased is one daughter, Shirley Roth and three brothers, Chester, Earl, and Homer Zimmerman.

Services will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford with Pastor Bud Larimore officiating. Burial will be in Willshire Cemetery, Willshire, Ohio. Friends may call on Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, and on Wednesday, one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be directed to the Willshire Union United Methodist Church.
