Doyle Adams

Doyle R. Adams, 78, of Van Wert, Ohio died at 4:50 AM on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima, Ohio.  He was born October 27, 1940 in Van Wert County to the late Vaughn and Selma (Dunlap) Adams.  He married Janice Snyder, who survives.  They celebrated 60 years of marriage this past June 28.

Mr. Adams is also survived by a son, Brent L. Adams of Van Wert; grandchildren, Emily (Brian) Burns of Wapakoneta, Ohio and Seth Schwartz of Spencerville, Ohio; a great grandson, Dade J. Burns; a sister, Jean (Clyde) Ford of Crossville, Tennessee; and a daughter in law, LuAnn (Mark) Schwartz of Spencerville.

Doyle retired from the Chrysler Amplex in Van Wert after 31 years of service.  He graduated from Hoaglin-Jackson School, was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Van Wert, fished on Lake Erie for many years, enjoyed traveling, and loved the Cleveland Indians.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Yoh.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM on Friday, December 28, 2018 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert, with Pastor Julie Tarr officiating.  Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Van Wert County.

Visitation will be from 2-8 PM on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory.
