Doyt Stegaman

Doyt E. Stegaman, 72, of Landeck, Ohio died at 12:33 AM on Tuesday, April 03, 2018 at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice.  He was born August 13, 1945 in Van Wert, Ohio to the late Harold and Elizabeth (Breese) Stegaman.

He is survived by two children; Andrea (Fiance`:  Eric Kramer) Shafer of Delphos, Ohio and Dean (Fiance`:  Jeanie Palmer) Stegaman of Ottoville, Ohio; grandchildren, Carrisa (Jacob), Mia, Brandi and Riley; great grandchildren, Aireanah, Oliver and a great granddaughter on the way; brothers, Harold “Doc” Stegaman of Middle Point, Ohio and Richard “Dick” (Mary Kay) Stegaman of Van Wert; sister, JeLaine (Jim) Agler of Van Wert; best friends, Dan and Maureen Teman and family of Delphos; and a special friend Jane Barber of Van Wert.

Doyt was a lifetime mechanic who worked many years at Harvey Equipment and Lee’s Ace Hardware, both in Van Wert.  He was a director and club member of the Old Fashioned Farmers Association, as well as several other antique tractor clubs, and a member of the Delphos Fraternal Order of Eagles #2055.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Janet Craig; and a sister in law, Vicky Stegaman.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert.

Visitation will be held from 2:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials may be directed to the Old Fashioned Farmers Association or Van Wert Inpatient Hospice.
