MIDDLE POINT, Ohio - E. Max "Snowball" Friesner, 80, of Middle Point, died at 12:27 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, at Van Wert Hospital, Van Wert, Ohio.
He was born July 29, 1933, in Mentone, Ind., to the late Mildred (Blue) Friesner and Arlo Friesner.
His wife, Marcia (Long) Friesner, survives of Middle Point.
Other survivors include children: Amy (Richard) Petrick of Canton, Ohio, Jack (Kim) Friesner of Louisville, Ohio, and Patti (Brent) Brotherwood of Convoy, Ohio, 10 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son: Jerry Friesner, three sisters, and a grandson: Timothy Friesner.
He retired from D & D Trucking in Delphos, Ohio. He was a truck driver for over 58 years. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Middle Point, Ohio. He was an avid Middle Point Volunteer firefighter and had served as assistant fire chief for many years.
Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home, Van Wert. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery, Middle Point.
Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19 at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Middle Point Fire Department.
