Earl Junior Brodbeck, 81, of Willshire passed away on August 18, 2021 at Vancrest Nursing Home in Van Wert.
He was born on February 03, 1940, in Willshire, the son of the late Roy Brodbeck and Rosa Garwood Brodbeck. On July 01, 1961, he married the former Marjorie L Zizelman, who passed away on April 21, 2018.
Earl lived in the Willshire area his entire life. He retired from International Harvester, where he worked for 30 years. Earl also was a Sunday newspaper carrier for 30 years.
He was a member of The Eagles, and a past member of the American Legion post 207 in Willshire as well as the VFW.
Earl was known locally as "Buckles the Clown", performing in parades, fairs, and parties for over 45 years.
Surviving are a son, John Brodbeck (Nikki) of Decatur, Indiana, one sister, Dorothy, and two grandchildren, Kolby and Raya Davis of Decatur, Indiana.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Clarence, Russell, and Darrel, and one sister, Helen.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM, on Monday, August 23, 2021, at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home 111 W. First Street Rockford, OH 45882. Interment will follow in Willshire Cemetery.
Family and friends will be received from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sunday August 22, 2021 at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home 111 W. First Street Rockford, OH 45882.
