Elizabeth A. "Betty" LeClair, 88, of Van Wert, died at 7:37 a.m. Sunday, April 17, 2016, at Dublin Methodist Hospital. She was born June 28, 1927, in Franklin County, the daughter of John Frick and Madge (Cross) Frick Doughty, who both preceded her in death. Survivors include two children, Melodee (Benjamin) Diss of Columbus and Denise (Erik Kater) LeClair of Bellefontaine; and two grandchildren. A brother also preceded her in death. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 22, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Steve Savage officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert. Visitation is from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, April 21, at the funeral home. Preferred memorials: Trinity Friends Church in Van Wert, or the Van Wert County Humane Society.
