DELPHOS, Ohio a�" Ervin "Butch" E. Fabian, of Delphos, died Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014, at his residence.
He was born Sept. 19, 1943, in Convoy, Ohio, to the late Elizabeth (Burk) Fabian and Ervin "Dutch" Fabian.
Survivors include children: Keith (Maria) Fabian of Willcox, Ariz., Holly (Dave) Baird of Delphos, Stacy (Robert) Wilson of Convoy, Nicole Riley of Celina, Ohio; stepchildren: Eunice Bernhardt of New Bremen, Texas, Kevin Miller of Benson, Ariz.; brothers: Ed (Faith) Fabian of Convoy, Paul (Robin) Fabian of Van Wert, Ohio; sister: Donna Scott of Paulding, Ohio; grandchildren: Ashley Nicole Tosh, Jamie Bennett, Derek Poling, Dallas Baird, Rachael Wilson, Christian Riley, Elizabeth Baird, Reanna Wilson, Deberah Wilson, Cade Riley, Andrew Siqueiros, Amanda Enrico, Raymi Rios, and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his dog "Bosco."
He was preceded in death by a brother: Raymond E. Fabian, and brother-in-law: Jim Scott.
He retired from Kennedy Kit Manufacturing in Van Wert. He was a United States Army veteran and a lifetime member of the Van Wert American Legion and V.F.W. where he was a member of the color guard. He was also a big supporter of giving blood to the American Red Cross. He had previously been a member of the Van Wert and Delphos Eagles.
A military committal service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home, Van Wert. Visitation will be held from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014 at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Van Wert American Legion DAV.
