Esther Agler

Esther L. "Dottie" Agler, 91, of Van Wert, died at 7:05 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2013, at Van Wert Hospital, Van Wert.

She was born May 28, 1922, in Van Wert, to the late Ethel May (Hummel) Waldron and Clarence Burt Waldron.

Her husband, Bruce A. Agler, died April 15, 1992. They were married Dec. 15, 1940, in Newport, Ky.

Survivors include children: Danny Agler of Convoy, Ohio, Larry (Bonnie) Agler, Steven Agler, and Connie Barnes, all of Van Wert; a sister: Freda Hallard of Delphos, Ohio; grandchildren: Mike Agler, Curt (Chris) Agler, Jamie (Marsha) Agler, L. Jay (Julie) Agler, Vicky (Craig) Kiracofe, Amy (Chad) Adams, Stephanie Agler, Shynne (Curtis) Krugh, David (Chrissy) Barnes, Shane (Amy) Barnes, Brandon Barnes, Kyle Barnes, Nikki (Ron) Smith; a stepgrandson: Spencer (Jen) Balliet; 13 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers; three sisters; a grandson: Christopher Agler, and a great-grandchild.

She was a homemaker and a member of Jennings Road Church of Christ, Van Wert.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013, at Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert. The Rev. Dave Ray will officiate. No calling hours are planned.

Preferred memorial is American Cancer Society.
