Esther Yvonne (Copeland) Taylor, 81, of Van Wert, Ohio died 9:02 AM Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Vancrest of Van Wert.
She was born October 24, 1936 in Rockford, Ohio to the late Clarence & Lucille (Swander) Copeland. On January 9, 1956 she married Ralph F. Taylor. He preceded her in death on November 13, 2017.
She is survived by 2 sons, David (Cheryl) Taylor of Van Wert and Philip (Chris) Taylor of Butler, Indiana; 4 grandchildren, Andrea (Sean) McKenzie, Nicole Taylor, Jennifer Taylor, and Brian (Ashley) Taylor; 4 great grandchildren, Hannah McKenzie, Madison McKenzie, Cyane Gaines, and Taylor Gaines; and a sister, Karen (Roger) Snyder of Van Wert, Ohio.
Mrs. Taylor was a homemaker and had previously worked at the Van Wert Times Bulletin and the former McKeddie’s Appliance in Van Wert. She was a member of the Van Wert I.O.O.F., a former Cub Scout Den Mother, who with Ralph, trained other adult Cub Scout leaders and she loved to crochet.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Gladine Simpson.
Funeral service will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert, Ohio. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert, Ohio.
Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 PM Monday, December 18, 2017 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert, Ohio
