Ethel Rotsinger

VAN WERT, Ohio a�" Ethel E. Ebel Rotsinger, 92, of Van Wert, died at 9:10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015, at Vancrest Healthcare Center, Van Wert.
She was born Dec. 19, 1922, in Lidgerwood, North Dakota, to the late Elsie (Roeder) Medenwald and Richard Medenwald.
On Oct. 3, 1944, she married Earl E. Ebel, Sr. and he died Oct. 11, 1984. Then on June 15, 1991, she married LeRoy A. Rotsinger and he died Aug. 26, 2006.
Survivors include children, Earl E. "J.R." (Cathy) Ebel, Jr. of Convoy, Ohio, Lyle (Debra) Ebel of Grover Hill, Ohio, Jeff (Diann) Ebel of Grover Hill, Greg Ebel of Wren, Ohio, and Faith (Ed) Fabian of Convoy, Ohio; sisters, Viola Mikesh of Lidgerwood, North Dakota, Lavine Stewart of Whapten, North Dakota, and Bernice Differding of Breckenridge, Minnesota; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by Eric Rotsinger and Laura (John) Metzger and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Elvin, Orin, Rich, and Rueben Medenwald, a sister, Lucille Van Vladeren, and a grandchild.
She retired in 1987 after 21 years of service from Aeroquip Corporation in Van Wert. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Convoy. Ethel moved to Ohio in 1956 and made her way to Van Wert in 1962.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 26, 2015, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Convoy. The Rev. Michael Saylor will officiate. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25, 2015, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, and one hour prior to services Monday at the church.
Preferred memorial is Redeemer Lutheran Church.
