CONVOY, Ohio - Eugenia E. McOmber, 61, of Convoy, died at 8 p.m. Sunday, March 25, 2012, at the Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center in Van Wert, Ohio.
She was born Nov. 18, 1950, in Van Wert, to Mary Ellen (Couts) Jerome of Columbia City, Ind., and Eugene Jerome of Columbia City. Her husband, Michael K. McOmber, survives in Convoy. They were married Aug. 27, 1987.
Other survivors include her children: Kory Hurless of Evansville, Ind., and Adam M. McOmber of Chicago, Ill.; a brother: Steve Jerome of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; two sisters: Tammy Jerome and Vickie (Chris) Arnold, both of Ft. Wayne, and a grandchild: Kaden Hurless of Evansville.
She had worked at the Lincoln Financial Corp. in Ft. Wayne for several years and had formerly worked for GTE in Ft. Wayne for 16 years. She had attended First United Methodist Church in Van Wert.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 29, 2012, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert. The Rev. Gus Christo-Baker will officiate. Burial will be in Convoy IOOF Cemetery, Convoy.
Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.
