Evelyn Kelly

VAN WERT, Ohio - Evelyn I. Kelly, 87, of Van Wert, died at 12:47 p.m. Monday, May 7, 2012, at her residence.
She was born Sept. 17, 1924, in Alexandria, Ind., to the late Etta (Lewis) Crum and Simon Crum. Her husband, Rev. Alva B. Kelly, died March 12, 2009. They were married June 8, 1944.
Survivors include her children: Ronald (Pat) Kelly of Bealton, Va., Rex (Sonya) Kelly of Convoy, Ohio, Joy Kelly, Kirby Kelly, Paula Kelly and Christina Kelly, all of Van Wert; a sister-in-law: Vivian Crum of Alexandria, Ind.; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brothers: Otha, Odis and Earl Crum, and a sister: Marie Scott.
She was a homemaker and retired in 2001 as co-manager of Homestead Village in Van Wert. She attended First Friends Church, Van Wert, and was a member of the Alexandria Church of the Nazarene, Alexandria, Ind.
Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 12, 2012, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert. The Rev. Paul Hamrick will officiate. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert.
Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Friday, May 11, 2012, and one hour prior to service on Saturday, all at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Alexandria Church of the Nazarene.
