VAN WERT, Ohio - Evelyn M. Miller, 85, Van Wert, died at 8:40 p.m. Monday, Jan. 16, 2012, at Vancrest of Convoy, Ohio.
She was born March 17, 1926, in Van Wert County, Ohio, to the late Bertha (Snyder) Breece and Frank Breece. Her husband, Kenneth S. Miller, died Oct. 23, 2005. They were married Oct. 18, 1948.
Survivors include her children: Regina Flynn of New Haven, Ind., and Kelli Miller of Van Wert; a brother: Gerald (Evelyn) Breece of Van Wert; two sisters: Jean Medford of Van Wert and Phyliss (Bob) Starke of Chicago, Ill.; two grandchildren: Amy Zimmerman and Erica David, and her great-grandchildren: Dalton Zimmerman, Cody David, Samuel Kenneth David.
She was preceded in death by a son: Gale Lee Miller, two brothers: Doyt and Frank Breece, and a sister: Edna Kreider.
She retired from Huffy Mfg., Celina, Ohio, and was a member of Van Wert: VFW Auxiliary, Moose Auxiliary and American Legion Auxiliary.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 20, 2012, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert. The Rev. Scott Campbell will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery, Middle Point, Ohio. Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Alzheimer's Association.
