Florence M. (McClain) Saunier

Florence M. (McClain) Saunier, 89, of Van Wert died at 12:45 PM on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at Hearth and Home of Van Wert. She was born February 24, 1930 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late John H. and Nellie (Gretton) McClain. She married Robert H. Saunier, D.D.S. and he preceded her in death on June 22, 2013.

She was a homemaker and an active member of the TWIG Association of Van Wert County Hospital and First Presbyterian Church in Van Wert, Ohio.

Florence is survived by two sons, Hugh M. (Kandy) Saunier of Van Wert and John R. (Lisa) Saunier of Springboro, Ohio; her grandchildren, Phillip (Heidi) Saunier, Matthew E. Saunier, Derek Saunier, Drew Saunier, and Evan Saunier; and her great-grandchildren, Hayden, Cian, and Theodore Saunier.

In addition to her parents and husband, Florence was preceded in death by a brother, John H. McClain, Jr.

A private family service will be held.

Burial will take place in Mt. Royal Cemetery, Glenshaw, Pennsylvania near Pittsburgh.

Preferred memorials may be directed to First Presbyterian Church, Van Wert, Ohio.
