Florence Stuckey

VAN WERT, Ohio - Florence E. Stuckey, 94, of Van Wert, died at 9:05 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013, at Vancrest Health Care Center, Van Wert.
She was born March 18, 1919, in Van Wert County, Ohio, to the late Marie (Schmidgall) Bauer and Arthur H. Bauer.
Her husband, Charles Graydon Stuckey, died Dec. 9, 1987. They were married April 24, 1946.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews, a brother: Art (Jeannie) Bauer of Van Wert, and sisters: Lucille Hulwick of Denver, Colo., and Gloraine Stelzer, Defiance, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: Herbert and Robert Bauer.
She formerly worked at Central Mutual Insurance Co., Van Wert, and retired from Decatur Implement Co. in Decatur, Ind., in 1962. She had formerly been the secretary for the Van Wert High School principal.
She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Van Wert, and was very active in church activities and the Ladies Guild at the church.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Van Wert. The Rev. Phillip Zielinski will officiate. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert.
Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13 at the church.
