Floyd Mason

Floyd N. Mason, 81, of Van Wert, died Monday afternoon, June 9, 2014, at his residence.
He was born June 6, 1933 in Van Wert, to the late Elizabeth (Mason) Mason and Harley Mason.
His wife, Karen "Kay" (Goins) Pease Mason, survives in Van Wert.
Other survivors include a daughter: Lorna (Wayne) Bronson of Oakwood, Ohio; a stepson; Kevin (Sue) Pease of Haviland, Ohio; brothers: Doyt (Arlene) Mason of Goodslett, Tennessee, Roger Mason of Findlay; sisters: Shirley Goble of Findlay, Helen (Friend Karl Miller) Powers of Alverton, Ohio, and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters, and a granddaughter.
He retired from LaFarge in Paulding, Ohio, after 28 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army who served in the Korean Conflict.
Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 14, 2014, at Blue Creek Cemetery, Haviland, Ohio. Burial will be in Blue Creek Cemetery, Haviland.
Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, June 13, 2014, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert.
Preferred memorial is to the family.
