Forest M. Hileman, 93, Rockford, died Friday, December 31, 2010, at 12:15 p.m. at the Laurels of Shane Hill, where he was a patient. He was born January 14, 1917, in Rockford. On March 7, 1936, he married Aileen E. Hoverman, who preceded him in death on August 25, 2010. Surviving are two sons: Larry (Marjorie) Hileman, and Ned (Paula) Hileman, both of Rockford; two sisters: Lula Byer, Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Ruth Pierstorff, Sarasota, Florida; five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Deceased are five brothers: Dale, Gale, Orville, Kent and Guy Hileman; three sisters: Helen Temple, Winifred Nutt, and Jean Brumbaugh; one grandchild, and one great-grandchild. He was a carpenter, and was a farmer all of his life. He also was a school teacher at Vantage in Van Wert for five years. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 5, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford, Pastor Mark Rutledge officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Rockford. Viewing is Tuesday, January 4 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, and a half hour before the service on Wednesday. Memorials may be sent to State of the Heart Hospice.
