Frances Linn

Frances M. Linn, 95, of Ottoville, formerly of Convoy, Ohio, died at 11:10 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017, at the Meadows of Kalida She was born May 25, 1921, in Buckland, Ohio, to the late Emma (Flarida) Hotzapple and Abraham Hotzapple.

Her husband, John Darl Linn, preceded her in death.

Survivors include children, Suzanne (Rick) Thatcher of Ottoville, Linda (Steve) Thomas of Howard, Ohio, Kathleen (Steve "Ferds") McPherson of Bluffton, Ohio, Bruce (Cindy Pierce) Linn of Ottoville, 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, John Roy Linn, her brothers, Carl, Frank and John Hotzapple, and a sister, Ethyl Eddinger.

She was formerly a cook at Webb's Filling Station and later at Crestview Schools. She was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Convoy. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and baking goodies for her family and friends, gardening, fishing and spending summers at the cabin when her children were growing up.

Service will be held at the convenience of the family. No visitation is planned.

Preferred memorial is Putnam County Homecare and Hospice.
